Coming up: EUROPEAN HYDROGEN WEEK

The largest gathering to discuss hydrogen development is taking place this year once again as a hybrid event.

Events

Dates: 29 November to 3 December

Location: the Hotel in Brussels and online

Mark your calendars! The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) has an exciting programme for the second edition of the European Hydrogen Week from 29 November to 3 December 2021!

This year’s event will be opened by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and will include the participation of Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice President of the European Commission for the European Green Deal, Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for Internal Market and Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

The European Hydrogen Week will mark the public launch of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership – as the successor of the Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU).

Together with the Clean Hydrogen Alliance, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership will be a key instrument for implementing the European Hydrogen Strategy and for achieving the EU Green Deal’s ambitious goals.

The week-long summit will bring together stakeholders from industry, research, academia, and government to discuss the main issues shaping the clean hydrogen technologies in Europe and beyond.

This edition will feature sessions on the future research and deployment priorities for Clean Hydrogen as well the FCH JU Programme Review Days and the FCH JU Awards! The week will also see the third European Clean Hydrogen Alliance Forum uniting its 1500 members. Topics will cover the entire value chain needed to realise the hydrogen economy, scaling-up production, infrastructure, and end-use sectors, research and innovation priorities as well as skills and education.

The European Hydrogen Week will be a hybrid event, with very limited participation on site (the Hotel in Brussels). Registration is compulsory for attending both online and on site.
