The Hydrogen Territories Platform (HTP) is an interregional platform aimed at replicating the BIG HIT project concept of hydrogen-based integrated local energy systems.
The Hydrogen Territories Platform (HTP) is devised as an interregional platform that will help participants understand how regions can successfully replicate the BIG HIT project concept of hydrogen-based integrated local energy systems, in their respective territories. This is delivered by providing information and methodologies for the implementation and deployment of hydrogen and fuel cell (HFC) technologies in similarly isolated or island territories.
The Platform is chaired by the Foundation for Hydrogen in Aragon (FHA) and the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Association (SFHCA), in the framework of the BIG HIT project and with the support of their project partners. After the end of the BIG HIT project, the HTP will continue their activities in the frame of the FCHJU projects GREEN HYSLAND and HEAVENN, which keep working in the demonstration of the Hydrogen territories and valleys concept in Europe in the coming years.
The main objective of the HTP is to ensure the replicability of the BIG HIT project concept, and particularly replication of business models, based on the use of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in integrated local energy systems. The platform will serve as a future network of knowledge transfer after the project-end.
A website platform and a modelling toolkit have been created to share the main lessons learned during the project, intended as a “learning by doing” tool to replicate the BIG HIT concept to other territories.
On 5 October 2023, the Green Hysland project hosted its 3rd workshop, “Setting up Hydrogen Valleys in Europe,” on Vlieland Island in Fryslân, NL. From Vlieland to Europe, this event explored transformative strategies in Hydrogen Valley development engaged through practical insights expert support.
Are you interested in finding out more about Hydrogen Valleys? Would you like to learn and share practical insights for your hydrogen project, by connecting with experts and stakeholders in the field?
You are invited to join the fourth HTP webinar on Tuesday 4th October from 14:00-15:15 BST (15:00–16:15 CET) on Hydrogen Valley project Commissioning, Training & Operations.
