The Green Hysland project was selected as one of the three European hydrogen valley projects of 2023 at the sixth edition of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Awards.
This year’s award was granted for the project’s outstanding efforts to develop integrated systems of hydrogen production, supply, storage and use in multiple sectors, alongside: Hydrogen Hub Noord-Holland, and WIVA P&G in Austria. Winners were announced last Friday 24 November 2023 in Brussels.
Together we are shaping a sustainable future, harnessing the power of clean hydrogen to propel us towards a greener and more resilient Europe.Victor Encinas Sanchez, Green Hysland coordinator – Enagas Renovable
The project will be completed in 2025 and foresees a renewable hydrogen power plant situated in Lloseta, connected to two solar PV parks (14MWp); a pressure-reducing station designed to integrate hydrogen into the island’s gas grid; three fuel cell systems to fuel a municipal sport centre in Lloseta, the Iberostar Hotel, and the ferry terminal in Palma; a Hydrogen Refuelling Station (HRS) and 6 fuel-cell buses.
