Can clean sources meet the energy needs of an island? By turning Crete into a Renewable Energy Valley ‘Living Lab’ (REV-Lab), we aim to demonstrate this is not only feasible but also replicable elsewhere.
Composed of four Community Energy Labs, the REV-Lab represents a decentralised, affordable energy system that will contribute to the European green transition and foster energy democracy.
The project will establish Crete as a pioneering Renewable Energy Valley, combining ICT technology, interoperable digital solutions, social innovation processes and economically viable business models.
